How to Make a Vegan Ranch Dressing

Description

Here is a super easy and healthier version of the classic ranch dressing, made vegan!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup raw cashews
  • 2/3 cup non-dairy plain milk
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup

Spice mixture:

  • 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard or coarse deli mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Place the cashews in a high-speed blender or a Nutribullet and blitz it until you have the consistency of a cashew powder (think almond flour).
  2. Place all the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend until you have a nice creamy texture. Taste a bit and see if you want to adjust any of the spices, then blend again. Pour into a mason jar and refrigerate until you are ready to use it. If you make this too far ahead, you might need to stir it to bring it back together. We think this will last about 5 days but honestly, it was so good that we went through it more quickly than that!

Notes

If you like dill, you can put 1/2 teaspoon of dried dill as well. We did not but it is in a lot of traditional ranch dressing recipes – we just didn’t think it went with this dish but feel free to make it your own.

Use this as a healthy dip or add more non-dairy milk to thin it out and use it as a dressing.
