I love to have a signature cocktail when I entertain and this Healthy Pomegranate and Ginger Kombucha is perfect for this holiday season – well anytime really, I mean why not?! This week is perfect for one!
So as we enter this holiday season, I want to share this fun, festive and healthy-ish Pomegranate and Ginger Kombucha Cocktail. It’s perfect for Thanksgiving but can also be served the entire holiday season. And let’s be real, sometimes you just need a fun (strong;) cocktail to get through family gatherings. We’ve all been there before.
How is this healthy?
I say it’s healthy-ish because the base of this cocktail is made up of Ginger Kombucha and Pomegranate juice. I am sure most of you are familiar with both so here is a quick recap of what makes these two drinks good for you.
Kombucha is a fizzy drink that is made of fermented tea and actually has probiotics in it that have been shown to kill certain bacteria and yeasts, mainly found in the gut. Pomegranate juice has a ton of antioxidants, in fact, it has three times more antioxidants than green tea and red wine. And one pomegranate has more than 40 percent of your daily Vitamin C needs.
But that’s not the only reason I love this cocktail, I found a new vodka, Keel Vodka. One of my Instagram followers shared this little gem with me, thank you, Shelby! This vodka is made of one hundred percent Idaho potatoes so it is naturally gluten-free. It is also distilled using Rocky Mountain water and it’s just 58 calories per 1.5 ounces. Plus it’s one of the smoothest vodkas I’ve ever tasted!
You can also make this non-alcoholic – just replace the vodka with more kombucha or sparkling water and you have a fun mocktail!
I hope you will give this healthy-ish cocktail (or mocktail) a try this week or definitely try it this holiday season – let me know when you do by tagging us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter!
Cheers,
Sharon
